Fundraising with Coffee
What makes coffee a great choice for Fundraising? You probably know the answer already. Most people drink it everyday. That's something that can't be said for most other fundraising products. In fact, coffee is the most widely consumed beverage in the U.S., after water! It's the second most widely traded commodity, after oil! Over half the adult population in the U.S. drink it everyday.
In addition, due to the marketing efforts of Starbucks, Peets, and yes, even McDonalds, more and more people are turning to specialty coffee to start their day.
Is there anything special about your coffee? Well, to start with, we select only high-quality arabica beans from around the world. We then roast them on demand, specifically for each order. Then they're sealed in one-way valve bags to ensure that the coffee you receive is some of the best you've ever tasted.
How much money can we make? That's a great question, but hard to answer. Coffee, as a fundraising tool opens up opportunities unavailable with other products. Think about it. If people drink it everyday, then why couldn't your supporters purchase it from you regularly, rather than from your local grocery chain? Many groups run multiple fundraisers throughout the year in order to bring in additional dollars. Instead, your group could create your own monthly coffee program. Instead of seeing dwindling participation as your group gets overwhelmed with fundraisers, you'll see interest grow as word spreads about the quality of your custom labeled, roasted on demand, coffee club.
If coffee's so great for fundraising, why do you offer so many other products? The truth is, that while many people drink coffee daily, there are quite a few who don't. We started offering a variety of items to appeal to more people. What we found is that a wider selection resulted in greater sales. Each sale increased, because the customers purchased more items.
What's the best fundraising program you offer? That depends on your group. All of our groups seem to enjoy the Custom Product Labels. We've created an array of fundraising programs to cater to different groups and situations. For example, our new, is great for smaller groups like sports teams, or school bands who need to make a specific amount of money in a short time, while the Traditional Gourmet Brochure is catered to groups who want a more full-service program with pre-sorted delivery, prizes, etc... Essentially, it's important to approach your fundraiser with the same attitude that an entreprenuer brings to his buisness. Get the word out. Promote it. Build enthusiasm. Continue to check in.
